I started using coir instead of peat, and it is much better. Seven Springs is great to work with, too.

i'm starting my worm bins with coir.been told by liz at big tex worms thats the best thing to use.really takes a long time to soak up water but looks good!shipping charges were pretty high!

We're growing in 55 gallon drums remade into self-watering containers. Coir is great as the "wicking" to bring the water up to the "soil" bottom. A layer of coir is next, then other medium, at least for now. Coir grows healthier plants for us.
