Semaspore Bait contains Nosema locustae, a naturally occurring grasshopper control. After eating Semaspore, grasshoppers become sick, eat less and begin to die. The disease spore spreads to healthy grasshoppers through cannibalism.

In 2-4 weeks, 50% of the grasshopper population will die, and most survivors will be infected to continue spreading the disease. Infected survivors eat 75% less than healthy grasshoppers and lay fewer eggs. Will NOT harm people, pets or the environment.

Also available in a 1lb Bag and a 50lb Bag

Works well over period of time.

I've had a substantial issue with several species of grasshoppers this year chewing on crops, I've tried both a concentrated spinosad spray from an atomizer in conjunction with Diatomaceous Earth with very little affect. I ordered Semaspore and within a week or so I am starting to see about 1/2 of the population of grasshoppers is affected, they change color and get considerably lethargic compared to others. I do hand kill any I see regardless, and leave them to spread more of the disease. I am very happy with this product thus far.
