Answer: From the FDA website: “The VFD final rule outlines the process for authorizing use of VFD drugs (animal drugs intended for use in or on animal feed that require the supervision of a licensed veterinarian) and provides veterinarians in all states with a framework for authorizing the use of medically important antimicrobials in feed when needed for specific animal health purposes.”
Kelp has never required the supervision of a veterinarian for feeding, is not a drug and is not be by this rule. It is always a good idea to keep your vet informed of all supplements fed to your animals and care should be taken feeding it to iodine sensitive animals like horses or cats, sticking to recommended doses and making sure the kelp is their only iodine source. Sincerely, Thorvin

Excellent product; expensive but it is always fresh and the health benefits to my dairy goats is obvious.
Kelp was recommended by my farrier. It is a fantastic product that has helped my horses with their hooves and coats. It has also kept a sarcoid dormant in one of my horses. A miracle product that I highly recommend to horse owners. No need for additional supplements to feed.
This i product that has been beneficial in keeping my horses hooves in great condition. It also helps maintain their skin and coats They each get 1-2 oz on their feed daily.. I would recommend this product to horse owners everywhere! 7 Springs Farm delivered it within a couple days!
I ordered a new 50lb of thorvin Kelp the whole process was fast and easy. I was notified every step of the order and shipping , great service. My deer that i feed the kelp too are all in great shape and some new ones are starting to get into top shape also, great product i have less health problems since i started feeding them the thorvin kelp
I ordered this product on the recommendation of a FB chicken enthusiast. I placed it and Azomite in a free choice dish and the chickens, cats and dogs ate it all. I thought I would try it with the horses as well and put it in a hook bucket for free choice. I was not diligent in tracking in how fast the horses consumed it but after a week it was all gone.
I started using this kelp for a year now but found it cheaper at Seven Springs . Easy ordering fast shipping and at a great price than from local stores. My deer look the best in years, less ticks, parasites and no health issues.
I was having a serious problem in my goat herd with what the vets said was "meningeal worm". I also had MANY ticks regardless of what I had tried. Since I have had free choice kelp out for them I have not lost any to the paralysis and very few tick residents. This spring my herd of 16 have eaten 100 lb in 20 days but no illnesses so I am happy to provide them with kelp.
Only learned about Thorvin Kelp about a year ago, after a particularly difficult kidding season. My herd has really turned around! We feed Thorvin free choice all the time, and the goats LOVE it! They are stronger, healthier and have better condition than ever before. Very few problems with parasites since they can eat as much as they like and/or need! This year we've had very few problems with kids, they have been healthy and strong and better deliveries overall. I will never be without Thorvin Kelp!!
We make our own dog food and add this for nutritional value. Our chickensite thrive on it as well!
