Cool-season flowering broadleaf with frilled fern-like leaves and purple flowers. Considered an insectary plant. Excellent pollinator forage species. Used extensively in Europe for bee forage. One of the top 20 honey producing flowers. Excellent cold and drought tolerance. Produces abundant biomass and conditions soil, leaving excellent structure and aggregation. Utilizes excess N in the soil to prevent leaching. Needs good soil to seed contact.

5-7 lbs/acre or drill 7-12 lbs/acre at 1/8" to 1/4" depth.
