- ROW COVER SUPPORTS 8 FT LONG, Our row cover supports are a 1/4" fiberglass rod that is coated with a thick UV plastic to protect your hands. They last a long time and are very easy to use and storage is fast and convenient.
This 1.00 oz fabric has a 70% light transmission. It can provide 4 - 6 degree frost protection. Good for early spring, late fall and over-wintering. Plants do just fine under this fabric even with the reduced light transmission. Be aware that this grade of fabric can build up heat if temperatures and sun are optimum.
Row covers are best use over crops with support hoops to hold the row covers over top of the crops. There are many different types of fasteners that are sold on the market to hold down the ends of the fabric but we recommend using any of the following: sandbags, pots filled with soil, pipes or wood.
