It's a bag of buckwheat, the seed is intact and it sprouted. The 50-lb sack arrived well packaged in a cardboard box and shipping didn't take very long. What more could a fella want?

Overview

Fagopyrum esculentum. Highly competitive, quick-growing annual broadleaf. Excellent nutrient scavenger and pollinator forage. Also suppresses weeds very well. Great as a stand-alone cover crop or in mixes with other summer annuals.

Organic seed is non-returnable.

60 lbs/acre drilled, 90 lbs/acre (2.1 lbs/1000 sq ft) broadcast. Ideal planting window is between 30 days after avg. last freeze to 65 days before avg. first freeze.
