Overview

Mammoth Red Clover is a high biomass biennial clover excellent for nitrogen fixation. It is best planted as a cover crop. It’s more vigorous and tolerant of acidic soils than other clovers, and can reach up to three feet in maturity. The best clover for poor soils. About 2 weeks later than Medium Red Clover in maturity.

Depending on the source, this Mammoth Red Clover seed is always Certified Organic and non-GMO, but sometimes it is raw and sometimes it has an OMRI-listed coating.   • Seeding Rates

    Seed in Fall or Spring to 1/4” depth at 15 - 20 lb per acre for a pure stand or 8 - 12 lb per acre in mixes or frostseed into grass 10 - 12 lb per acre.
