Obtain optimum eggshell quality with Coastal Brand Poultry Shell. This special blend features calcium carbonate to help grow healthy eggshells and strong bones. Simply apply to poultry feed rations for best results. Also use as a fertilizer. Oyster shell provides a long-lasting, steady release of nutrients to help regulate pH levels, improve fertilizer uptake, promote healthy cellular structure and enhance soil tilth.

Lawns: For smaller lawns, spread ¼-½ cup per 10 square feet depending on soil analysis and water in well in fall or spring. For larger lawns, spread 10-50 lbs. per 1,000 square feet depending on soil analysis and water in well in fall or spring. Repeat annually, with rates determined by soil testing.
Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds: To prepare new gardens, apply 2-4 tbsp. per square foot or apply 3-6 lbs. per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into the top 3″ of garden soil in spring or fall. For new transplants, add 1-2 tsp. per hole, mix into soil and water in well.
Outdoor Containers: For new plantings, add 1-2 tbsp. per gallon of soil and mix thoroughly OR add 0.5-1 lb. per cubic yard. For established plants, lightly mix 1-2 tbsp. per gallon into the soil surface every other month during the growing season.
Row Crops/Acreage: Apply 500-2,000 lbs per acre initially followed by annual maintenance applications depending on soil analysis and crop requirements.
Trees & Shrubs: Spread 1 lb. per 1″ of trunk diameter around the base outwards to the drip line, mix into soil surface and water in well. For new trees, prepare transplant hole and mix 1-2 cups with the backfill soil. Use the amended soil to fill in around the new tree and water in well.
